La sovranità nella "Chronique" di Jordan Fantosme (con una nota sulla conoscenza della "Chanson de Roland"

This paper focuses on the idea of sovereignty in the "Chronique" of Jordan Fantosme. The analyis of the major characters, Henry II and William the Lion of Scotland, and of the relations with their feudal lords shows that the Jordan’s notion of sovereignty depends on particular historical and political circumstances and on ideological paradigm contained in the known texts (not only the Thomas of Kent’s "Roman de toute chevalerie" but also the "Song of Roland").
